What are programs?
Programs are structured plans designed by Heather to guide you through a series of workouts over a set number of days or weeks. They’re built for momentum, progression, and confidence — and they’re one of the most powerful ways to stay focused and consistent inside the HR App.
Each program includes:
- The full program duration (e.g., 4–12 weeks)
- A specific training style (Strength, Pilates, etc.)
- A structured progression from start to finish
- Built-in rest days depending on the program
- A downloadable PDF to print and follow along
💡 Programs are ideal when you want structure, accountability, and measurable progress.

How to complete a program
Watch this video on how to make your way through a program
Once all of the workouts that are part of a program are complete, that program will be marked complete.
A program workout is marked complete when you finish the workout video up until the player reaches the cool down marker. Once the program workout is completed, it will get a completion checkmark and your overall program progress updates. Progress will display on your home page (e.g. 1/20 workouts).
⚠️ Join a program before you complete the workouts for it to apply to program progress, otherwise it will count as an individually completed workout.
After you've joined a program be sure to start your program workouts from:
- Home: when you join a program it will update and be visible here
- Your calendar: workouts that are part of a program will show the program name next to it.
- The program details page
Frequently asked questions
Why hasn't my program been marked as complete?
Go to Home. An example is below.
- Have you officially joined the program?
- Are all of the program workouts tracked as complete?

Program was not joined prior to starting the workouts:
In order for the app to track your progress, you will have to have officially joined the program. If you did not join the program before starting, you will notice that the workouts in your calendar are missing the program tag.

Head to the top of this article to learn more about how app program work.
If would like to see the program as officially completed and receive the related achievement badges you could take advantage of the new feature where you can edit the workouts in your calendar.
There would be a bit of leg work to get it done, but you could:
- Officially joining the program which will add the workouts, with the associated program tags, to your calendar.
- From the calendar, manually mark each program workout as complete, and enter the date that you originally completed them on
- Delete the previous individual workouts (without the program tag) to clean up your calendar.
Not all of the program workouts were marked as complete
Head to your calendar and find the program workout that shows as an outlined number and click on that day. (You will also see that this workout is missing the checkmark when viewed on your homepage, below the program image) Select the three dot menu and mark it as complete. This should trigger your program completion.
Can I skip or reschedule workouts?
Yes — you can freely reschedule program workouts. Head to your calendar, select the workout and move it to a new date. Programs are designed to be completed as prescribed, but you can skip workouts if needed. However, to earn a program completion achievement badge, you must complete all workouts in a program, so you will need to reschedule the skipped workout.

What if I miss a workout?
Not to worry, you can get back on track! You have two choices:
- Reschedule the missed workout from your calendar to any day that works for you
or
- Want to maintain to program order?
- Go to the program details page
- Select Edit Program and
- Select Edit schedule
- Enter a new start date.
- Adjust workout days (optional)
- Save changes: This will shift the whole schedule. Previously completed workouts will remain unchanged.
Can I do program workouts in a different order?
Heather arranges workouts intentionally for best results — but ultimately you know your body. You can adjust your schedule. You can reschedule workouts into any order you need.
Can I repeat a program?
Yes, absolutely! Every program can be repeated as many times as you like. Just go to the program details page and select Restart program.
Can I do more than one program at a time?
Currently, only one program can be done at a time. Heather recommends completing one program at a time to avoid burnout, maintain training balance, and get consistent results. If you want extra workouts: on your calendar you can add them individually from the workout library.
If you try to join a second program, you’ll see a message explaining you already have an active program and that you must end your current program to start another.
Which is the right program for me?
There’s no “one perfect answer.” The right program depends on your goals, fitness level and the time you have. You can learn more about each program on its details page.
