How do I cast using AirPlay
Before You Start
- Make sure your device has AirPlay built-in or you have an external AirPlay device plugged in.
- Ensure your phone or tablet, and TV/casting device are all connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- For smoother playback, avoid running other heavy Wi-Fi activities (like streaming or downloads) on the same network while casting.
- Ensure your TV’s AirPlay has been enabled. This can be found in the settings menu on your TV. Look for AirPlay, Screen Mirroring etc. depending on the brand of your TV.
- Ensure your device is AirPlay capable. iPhones, iPads, iPod Touches, Macs
How to cast using Apple AirPlay
- Open app.heatherrobertson.com on your device
- Choose the video you want to watch.
- Select the AirPlay icon (bottom right corner of the video).
- Choose from the list of available AirPlay devices
- Press play on the video.
Troubleshooting:
- Make sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi. You can’t cast via cellular data
- Ensure both your devices have the most up-to-date software
- If your AirPlay receiving devices don’t appear: reboot both devices; toggle Wi-Fi off/on
- Refer to your AirPlay device’s support documentation for further help.
⚠️ If your device goes to a locked screen during casting or mirroring, the video playback may disconnect. To avoid being disconnected, be sure to turn off auto screen lock or sleep settings.
Still not working?
Use a hard-wired cable that will connect your device to the HDMI input of your TV for the best reliability and highest quality playback.
